South Korea Camping] Discovering Serenity Valley and Pine Auto Camping ground
Last weekend, the craving for a spontaneous escape took hold of us. With a burst of excitement, we quickly booked a camping spot, loaded our gear, and set our course for Pocheon. Just an hour and a half away from Seoul, we were heading to a hidden gem—a 50,000-pyeong camping site nestled among valleys and pine trees, the largest of its kind in Gyeonggi Province.
we were greeted by the serene beauty of Campsite, which also features cozy pensions for those who prefer a bit more comfort. The clean, flowing stream was the perfect backdrop, promising cool, refreshing fun during the hot summer days. As we walked through the site, we couldn't help but be enchanted by the forest pathways, filled with the invigorating scent of phytoncides.
Pocheon Galbi
One of the highlights of our trip was a visit to the nearby street famed for its Pocheon Galbi. Known for its mouth-watering flavors, this Korean barbecue experience was nothing short of spectacular. The rich, savory taste of the galbi was the perfect reward after a day spent in nature.
To top off our adventure, we indulged in a relaxing soak at the local hot springs. Pocheon offers some unique options, like the Jeil Sulfur Hot Springs and Ildong Lava Hot Springs. These traditional Korean sulfur baths provided the ultimate relaxation, soothing our muscles and rejuvenating our spirits.
Our impromptu camping trip to Pocheon was a delightful blend of nature, relaxation, and culinary pleasure. Despite the minor inconveniences, the sheer beauty and serenity of the place made it an unforgettable experience.
